As a supportive organisation we are currently re-assessing our practice in line with government guidance on minimising the risk of spreading COVID-19.
Advice is updating rapidly, and we are consulting with our board of trustees and adjusting our practice to reflect current government guidance.
As of Monday 23rd March 2020, Home-Start Medway will not be carrying out home support visits, face to face financial fitness appointments or delivering group work and all training courses are temporarily suspended.
Home-Start families will continue to be supported by telephone or email on a weekly basis until the current situation improves.
The One Stop Shop Drop-in for domestic abuse advice is also closed until further notice, please use Medway Council website for details of support organisations available.
We will continue to accept new referrals but will inform families that, due to current circumstances, we are not home visiting and that they will be supported by telephone in the same way as existing families.
The Home-Start office will remain open with a skeleton staff in line with current advice, but please be aware that government advice changes on a daily basis.
We will update our website page to keep you fully informed of any changes, in the meantime we wish you and your families well.
