Winners Kent Charity Awards, Best use of Volunteers
Home-Start Medway runs weekly home visiting support, a Domestic Abuse and Young Parent project, Financial Fitness Champions, Education around sleep, potty training and introducing solid food, direct support for tackling hardship and crisis and Parent and Tots style groups across Medway including the intergenerational Grey ‘n’ Play and Army Stay ‘n’ Play
This is only possible with the help of their dedicated volunteers who range in age from 19-80. Volunteers are recruited and trained over 6 weeks and then go on to support Medway families by home visiting families once a week, helping run their groups, offering support with financial concerns, supporting the local Domestic Abuse One Stop Shop, office admin, DIY and of course governance as a trustee.

Prep course 85
Our lovely volunteers from the 85th prep course finished last week. We are looking forward to getting them up and running with supporting families, helping out at groups and in the office with admin and financial fitness.
